He is survived by: his wife Ofelia; his children, Luis Aboytes (Carmen), Minerva Hernandez (Anibal), Beatriz Frausto (Cruz), Araceli Aboytes Vazquez (Ricardo Duran Carmona), Lizmara Shuler (Ted) and Nallely Fitz (Angel); and his brothers, Miguel Aboytes and Jesus Aboytes. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Book Hotel Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home (1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Prairie Street Cemetery (301 E Hively Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516).
