The passing of Marilyn Smith of Elkhart, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 21, 2025 at the age of 86. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Behnke and Martha Behnke; her children, Michael Smith, Julia Smith and Sara Barraza; and her sister Rheta Behnke.
She is survived by: her husband George Smith; her siblings, Beverly Lodge (James) of Holiday, FL., Barbara Herman (John) of Portage, MI., Pamela Catto (James) of Beverly Hills, MI, Edward Behnke (Pamela) of Zellwood, FL. and Robert Behnke of Ann Arbor, MI; and her granddaughters, Olivia Barraza of Davenport, FL. and Madison Barraza of Elkhart, IN.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jackson Church (2715 E Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
