He was predeceased by: his father Carleton Briggs. He is survived by: his granddaughter Evelyn Elizabeth Briggs; his brothers, David Briggs of Elkhart, Charles Briggs of Florida, Steven Briggs (Nance) of Florida and Blaine Briggs (Rodora) of Elkhart; and his close friend Vicki Gay.
