He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd DeArmond and Marjorie Gehring; and his wife Heidi (Lehner). He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Kodner (Mark Goldberg) of San Francisco, California, Ashley DeArmond (Adam Nolan) of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Zachary DeArmond (Courtney) of Waukesha, Wisconsin.; and his granddaughters, Sadie Kodner, Layla Nolan and Penelope Nolan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home (10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mitchell's memory to Trinity Lutheran Church of Elkhart or The Wounded Warrior Project.
