He is survived by: his wife Ruby Cossey; his children, June Pruitt (James), Sheila Norman, Deborah Howard, Nichols Cossey Jr., George Cossey (Kelli) and Lennard Cossey (Lorna); his siblings, Ruth Cossey, Arthur Cossey (Sharon) and Oliver Cossey (Lucretia); and his grandchildren, James Pruitt Jr. (Deanna), Jarvis Pruitt (Hope), Justin Pruitt, Jordan Pruitt, Curtis, George Cossey, Xavion Howard, Quilyn Howard-Upshaw, Aniyah Howard, Tyrique Cossey, Dejoyah Johnson, RaNesha Perez (Odanny), RaTerious Walker (Bianca), Elicia Swopshire, Alexis Norman and Zachary Norman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church (1829 Oakland Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516).
