Palma Rosa Balzano Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Palma Rosa Balzano of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Giuseppe Balzano; her children, Rocco Balzano, Angela "Angie" J. Michel (Michael) and Rose Mary Nisley; and her siblings, Dominic (Lillian), Antonio (Ida), Giovanna Mesiti, Celestina Letteri, Angela Iemma and Elena Iemma.
She is survived by: her children, Antonio "Tony" J. Balzano (Tracy), John Balzano and Teresa A. Kelly (Gregory); her grandchildren, Danny Nisley, Gina Brewers (Joseph), Andrea Hardisty (Grant), Joseph Balzano, Justin Kelly, Anthony Balzano and Nate Kelly; her great grandchild Dominic Nisley; and her brother Carmelo Iemma (Melina) of Australia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Billings Funeral Home (812 Baldwin St, Elkhart, IN 46514). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (1108 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the St. Vincent Cemetery (1529 S Nappanee St, Elkhart, IN 46516).
The family requests that any monetary donations be given to her family directly so they can make donations to Palma's favorite charity's and to the church she loved.
