He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul G. Watson Sr. and Helen Watson (Grant); his brother Mark R. Cranmer; his close friend Timothy Lee Cranmer; his sister Helen M. McDaniel; and his pet Savage.

He is survived by: his children, Rochelle "Rocky" Watson and Charles Filley (Whitney); his grandchildren, Keegan and Kyson; his sister Shirley Fox (Randal); and the mother of his children Linda Filley-Watson. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
