She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Grant and Lu Birtha Grant; her husband Thomas "Jim" Suggs; her daughter Kenyatta Jackson; and her grandchild Thomas Suggs.
She is survived by: her son Anthony Suggs (Katie); and her grandchildren, Anthony (Cassandra), Deontay, Deanna, DeAnthony and Khamani. She is also survived by one half-brother and several great-grandchildren.
