With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rachel Ann Shawver of Elkhart, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2026 at the age of 41. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Rachel shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rachel farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her father Joseph "J. D." Shawver, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Lorie Courtney (Jerry) of Weirton, WV; her sons, Christopher B. Evans (Gianna Chafin), Sky R. Bocek (Sydney Nutter) and Joseph R. Bocek (Kiah Smith); her grandchildren, Xaria Smith and River Bocek; her siblings, Logan Shawver (Alisha Workman), Tess Courtney Taflan (Josh), Chloe Courtney (Adam Boggs) and Robbie Shawver; and her grandmother Janice Yatsko. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
