He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Raymond and Ruth Arlene Schooley (Chapin); his wife Linda C. Posey; his children, David Wayne Schooley (Rhoda) of Nappanee, William Leroy Schooley and Linda; and his brothers, Lewis Glenn Schooley and Donald Ray Schooley.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Allan Schooley Ward of Arkansas, Wanda Jarboe (Andy) of Frankfort, Fran Bray of Frankfort and Tina Bottoms of Frankfort; and his siblings, Wiliam Schooley (Helen) of Bristol, Indiana, Judy Bower (Rodell) of Cave City, Mary Laughman of South Bend and Bevery June of Kalamazoo, Michigan.. He is also survived by several grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home (200 S Main St, Frankfort, IN 46041). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bunnell Cemetery (1175 N County Rd 200 W, Frankfort, IN 46041).
