She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald D. and Mary D. Mullen (Hawkins); her husband Thomas Blackburn; and her siblings, Thomas Mullen and Sheryl Strange.
She is survived by: her children, R. John Elmer (Julie) of Noblesville, Doug Elmer (Angie) of Ft. Myers and Laura Rudicil (Rick) of Elkhart; her grandchildren, Josh Elmer (Piper), Trent, Gracie Elmer, Collin, Ryan Rudicil, Amanda Robertson (David) and Kelsie Elmer (Cameron Kunstler); and her great grandchildren, Layla, Hunter Reardon, Crimsyn, Aniston Robertson, Mya Winn, Kaeden Kunstler, McKenzie Elmer and Lilly Paterna.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be given to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (or another Parkinson's charity) or to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
