She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Earl McLain and Ruby Jean Duncan (Stouder); and her brothers-in-law, Steve Davis and Richard Larson. She is survived by: her husband Ron Smeltzer of Elkhart; her children, Sandy Beebe (Jody) of Elkhart, Kimberly Jenkins (Andy) of Nappanee and Jennifer Smeltzer (Jeremy Jellison) of Elkhart; her grandchildren, Justin Cook, Amanda Haldaman (Ethan), Morgan Jenkins and Samantha Jellison; her great grandchild Leland Haldamen; and her siblings, Earl McLain (Sue), Timothy McLain (Tracy), Robert McLain, Darrell Duncan, Janet Larson, Christine Davis and Darlene Duncan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Billings Funeral Home (812 Baldwin St, Elkhart, IN 46514). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
