It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosemarie Garis of Elkhart, Indiana, born in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on July 15, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Rosemarie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Rosemarie. Though Rosemarie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her mother Rose C. DeMeulenaere; her husband Richard A. Garis; her grandson Ryan Womack; and her sister Darlene DeMeulenaere. She is survived by: her children, Janet Womack (Darrell) of Parrish, Jamie (Todd Kirts) of Bristol, John Garis (Paula) of North Liberty and James Garis of New Carlisle; and her daughter-in-law Marianne-Defalco Garis of Indianapolis, Indiana.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one.
