He is survived by: his children, Jeremey "Jerry" Johnson (Shawn) of Elkhart, IN, Joni Johnson of Edwardsburg, MI. and Jeff Johnson of Edwardsburg, MI.; and his siblings, Al Johnson of Anchorage, Steve Johnson of Reno, NV, Kay Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI. and Loretta Zimmerman of Grand Rapids, MI.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: 5 great-grandchildren.
