With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley J. Doberenz of Elkhart, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shirley left this world on June 5, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brookhouser and Leone Brookhouser (Collins); her daughters, Theresa and Debra; her granddaughter Sophia; her sisters, Arlene Kenkel and Lavonne Stenzel; and her husband Werner E. Doberenz.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott E. Doberenz of Elkhart, IN, Brett P. Doberenz (Kelly) of Goshen, Gregg A. Doberenz (Cindie) of Goshen and Mark E. Doberenz (Mary) of Phoenixville, PA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rice Cemetery (400 James St, Elkhart, IN 46516).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to ALANON or the Alzheimer's Association.
