Stephen M. Stump Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen M. Stump of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on May 21, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Stump and Madge Miller (Stump); his wife Ruth Stump; his stepdaughter Linda Kauffman; and his grandson Nathan Yoder.
He is survived by: his children, Gwen Hernley (Doug), Greg Stump and Garrett Stump (Mae); his grandchildren, Brandon Miller, Kelsa Benzing (Marcus), Alana Hernley, Jessica Yoder (Chris), Brittany Gatchell (Tim), Shawn Stump (Mickayla) and Garrett Stump II; his stepdaughter Sandy Willard; and his sister Janet Mast. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Homes (311 S Main St, Goshen, IN 46526). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Paris Church of the Brethren (68170 Co Rd 23, New Paris, IN 46553).
