He was predeceased by: his parents, Watt Powell and Betty Powell (Gentner); and his brother Kenneth Powell. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Powell; his children, Erin Cook (Jason), Ryan Powell (Karen) and Kristen Powell; his grandchildren, Nicholas Cook, David Powell, Caleb Powell, Andrew Powell and Micah Powell; his sister Melodye Zehrung (Don); his in-laws, Pat Mitschelen, Bill Clark (Pam), Ron Clark (Brenda), Don Clark (Audrey) and Ray Clark (Kelly); and his close friend Betty Carter.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Prairie Camp in Goshen.
