It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tom Dean Ott of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Ott and Joy Butler (Books); his wife Joyce Ott (Howes); his brother Jack Ott; his brothers-in-law, Gregg Pletcher and Ralph Monroe "Monty" Layne II; and his parents-in-law, Curtis, Polly Howes and Joyce.
He is survived by: his children, Tom, Jeff Ott (Abbi) of Fishers and Traci Warren of Carmel, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Jack, Curt, Faith and Cora; his siblings, Larry Ott and Tammy Tackett (Rod Tackett); his sister-in-law Judy Pletcher; and his pets, Peanut and Paris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
