Tonia Jo Harris Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband William Richard Harris (Bill) of Kewanna, IN.. She is survived by: her sons, Ronald William Harris (Marjorie Rhine) of Madison, WI and Christopher Shaun Harris (Wendy O'Brien) of Champaign, IL; her sisters, Marilyne Mann and Grace Shaum (Peg) of Elkhart; her brother-in-law Ronnie Hamman of Kewanna, IN; and her granddaughter Mathilda Harris (Joshua Wilke) of Tacoma, WA.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home (950 N Main St, Nappanee, IN 46550). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. She was a regular caller to public health officials during COVID-19 to express her frustration that their failures to follow state and federal guidelines were putting her friends, family and neighbors at risk.
Jo's family asks that contributions in Jo's honor are made to the Council on Aging of Elkhart County (https://www.elkhartcoa.org) in lieu of flowers.
