It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vernon Leroy Garman of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Earl and Myrtle Goldie Garman (Martin); his wife Emogene R. Marvel; and his siblings, George Garman, Jack Garman, Dave Garman and Kate Thalheimer (Garman).

He is survived by : his children, Kay King (David) of Elkhart, IN and Timothy Garman (Dawn) of Cassopolis, MI; his grandchildren, Kristi Ickes (Chris) of Nappanee, IN, Kimberly Griffith (Brett) of Holiday, FL and Benjamin Garman (Dakota); and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Griffith, Alex Griffith, Kaylyn King, Riley King, Henry Garman and Cora Garman.

A procession was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home (1129 Prairie St, Elkhart, IN 46516). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Prairie Street Cemetery.
