William Templin Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of William Templin (Elkhart, Indiana) is shared. William, born on May 14, 1935, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Mathias Templin and Wilbur "Bud" Templin; his stepmother Karma Rodholm Ernst Templin; his stepbrother Edwin "Bud" Ernst; and his siblings, Jon Templin and Cynthia Segneri.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue "Sue" Dorenbusch Templin; his children, Cheryl "Cheri" Hacker (Dennis) and Thomas "Tom" Templin (Shelley); his grandchildren, Kevin Templin (Michelle), Eric Templin (Alison) and Brittany Hacker; his great grandchildren, Sierra, Jenna, Benjamin and Anneliese Templin; and his stepbrother Eric Ernst (Nancy) of Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (2715 E Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Jackson Church (2715 E Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516).
In honor of Bill, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity on Jackson, the Rotary Club of Elkhart Scholarship Fund, or Bashor Children's Home.
