It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alberta Nell Buttler of Elwood, Indiana, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rayfield Hughes and Opal Hughes (Roller); her husband Ellis L. "Bud" Buttler; her sons, Jeff Buttler and Ellis L. "Buddy" Buttler, Jr.; and her siblings, Jimmy Hughes, Bill Hughes, Jerry Hughes, Rose Eldridge, Kay Harpel, Lynn Rust and Mary Feak.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Stout (Jim) of Elwood, Susie Robison (Marty) of Elwood and Tim Kelley (Harriett) of Kansas City, MO; and her siblings, Carol Moore of Elwood, Charlotte "Charlie" Ritter of Anderson and Lawrence Hughes (Patricia) of Clay City. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Copher - Fesler - May Funeral Home (415 S Anderson St, Elwood, IN 46036). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home (415 S Anderson St, Elwood, IN 46036).
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Temple through the funeral home.
