He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert McPhearson and Naomi McPhearson (Bradley); and his wife Carole Jane Peters. He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Heazeltine (Dan) of Peru and Michelle Becklehimer (James) of Elwood; his grandchildren, Alexis Heazeltine (Theodore Sander), Ben Heazeltine (Jill) and Lance Becklehimer; and his great grandchild Theo Heazeltine. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
