She was predeceased by : her parents, John Roy and Ruth Esther Atwell (Padfield); her husband Jerry Bird; and her brother Johnny R. "Spatch" Atwell. She is survived by : her children, Athena Young (Anthony) of Kokomo, Jonathan Bird of Kokomo, Kimberly Kendall (Joe) of Anderson and Alycia Smith (Brandon) of Indianapolis.
