He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford William and Christina L. Bohlander (Bauer); his wife Gertie Mae Fields; and his siblings, Margaret (Ralph Pratt), Pauline (Rex Stites), Raymond (Carolyn Bohlander) and Donald Bohlander.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Bohlander (Pamela) of Elwood, Annalisa Johnson (Donald) of Littleton, CO, Gary Bohlander (Ronna) of Darlington, IN and Thomas Bohlander (Christa) of Fairmount; his grandchildren, Cory Bohlander (Janelle), Kaitlin Tyner (Matt), Laura James (Chad), Aaron Johnson (Rachel), Christina Smith (Jake), Megan Keller (Chad), Jacob Bohlander (Morgan), Molly Bohlander, Clayton Bohlander and Chloe Lipscomb (Will); and his sisters-in-law, Marge Bohlander of Elwood, Nancy Holmes of South Carolina and Rebecca Fields of Summitville. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (10099 IN-37, Elwood, IN 46036). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church through the funeral home.
