We announce the death of Ruth Ann Decker of Elwood, Indiana, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Amos and Beatrice Amos (Babb); and her siblings, Darlene Francis, Joan Allen, Ronny Amos, Terry Amos, Gary Amos, Bill Amos and Dave Amos.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Decker of Elwood; her daughters, Terina A. Ball (Justal) of Elwood and Christy L. Basham (Jason Robison) of Elwood; her brothers, Sonny Amos of Elwood and Max Amos (Delberta) of Chesterfield; her grandchildren, Dennis Basham (Tennielle), Brooklyn Basham (Ike Hooper), Brandon Basham (Breona Wilson), Josh Ball (Kendra), Sarah Jarvis (Bryan), Jake Ball (Lexie Miller), Mason Robison and Nolan Robison; and her great grandchildren, Georgianna Jarvis, Vivienne Jarvis, Bodhi Ball, Breelynn Basham and Dennis Basham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home (415 S Anderson St, Elwood, IN 46036). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Morrisett Center Food Pantry through the funeral home.
