She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Massie, Sr. and Ruby Ethel Harris Hewitt; her husband John Jefferson Pyne, Jr.; her siblings, Clay Edward, Elton Massie Hewitt, Jr., Jean Elizabeth Hewitt Wise and Eloise Hewitt Moore; and her nephew Dennis Hewitt.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Cynthia "Cyndi" Santowasso (Tony) and John "Jay" Pyne, III (Vickie); and her grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary Santowasso and Samantha Pyne. She is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews.
