It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Benjamin Newman Jr. of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin E. Newman Sr. and Lucille J. Schlavick; his wife Dorothy; his son Ben Newman; and his grandchildren, DeeDee Koehnen and Ben Koehnen.

He is survived by: his son Reece; his daughter-in-law Mary Claire Newman of Destin, FL; his grandchildren, Clint Newman (Jennifer) of Nashville, TN, Natalie Shelor of Knoxville, TN and Kirk Newman (Elizabeth) of Knoxville, TN; his great grandchildren, Blake Shelor, Julia Shelor, Victoria Newman, Pierce Newman, Brooklyn Newman, Addison Newman, Emmersen Newman, Jackson Newman and Kameron Newman; his close friend Sylvia Angermeier; and his friend Hasan Afshari.
