He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Townson and Leila Mae Edmonds Townson (Edmonds) of Albertville, Alabama; his wife Lynoitte Townson of Evansville; his son Billy W. Townson Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Jordan Eib of Marion, Indiana and Whitney DeVane of Dothan Alabama; and his siblings, Howard Townson of Albertville, Alabama and Myrtle Jo Holsonback of Albertville, Alabama..

He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Eib (Roger) of Marion, Deborah DeVane (Stanley) of Dothan Alabama and Sandy Gasser (Larry) of Evansville; and his grandchildren, Jarred Eib of Marion, Reed DeVane of Dothan, Drew Gasser (Leslie) of Evansville, Chris Gasser (Heather) of Enterprise, Tyler Townson of Evansville, Billy Wayne Townson III of Indianapolis, Donna Tripp (Jeff) of Dothan, Autumn Lambert (Eric) of Maryville and April Ahlemeier (Eric) of Selvin, Indiana. He is also survived by 15 great- grandchildren.
