He is survived by: his children, Rex Nicholson and Leslie Flittner (Larry); his sister Alice Ann Jones; his grandchildren, Samantha Ward (Steven) and Andi Flittner; and his great grandchildren, Charlie Ward, Beth Ward, Daniel Ward and Myles Ward.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 560 E Diamond Ave, Evansville, IN 47711.
