She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert W Brooks and Helen D Brooks (Smith); her husband Eldon "Ken" Smith; and her siblings, Judith Hubbard, Linda Tobman and Donald Brooks.

She is survived by: her children, David Smith (Stephanie), Samantha Smith and Jami "James" Arndt (Nate); her grandchildren, Cora Edge (Wes), Alex Alcantara (Ariah), Jessica Smith (Ricky), Kendra Myers (John), Quentin Boone Smith-May, Jarrica Brittain (Nathan), Brittany "Angel" Byrley (Jakob), Lukas Arndt and Skylar Arndt; her great grandchild Joe Sherman; her siblings, James Brooks, Joan Teal, Carol Fouts (Larry) and Karen Spradlin (Steve); and her niece Sarah Nation (Don) of Utah. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
