With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Henry Benton of Evansville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 20, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Benton and Regina Benton (Ahlmann); and his siblings, Norma Stanley, Geneva Fark, Carolyn Jobe, Donna King, Larry Benton, Dewey Benton and Louis Benton.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Benton (Morris); his daughters, Julie Ann Shaw (Nelson) and Susan Benton-Smith (Chip Sparks); his siblings, Louise Kroeger, Dena Kopczynski, Letta Benton Vasquez and Dale Benton; his grandchildren, Charles Baker, McKenzie Mooney, Lily Smith (Wade Pendergrass) and Grace Smith; and his great grandchildren, Ruby Mooney and Vada Smith.
