He is survived by : his daughters, Mia VanDyke (Vince), Chandise Gathings and Chuntaj Collier; his grandchildren, Andreise Gathings, Chad Gathings, Jr., Chy'Dre Gathings, Ay'Re Smith and Ty'ree Smith; and his siblings, Henry Carter, Jr. (Roz), Vivian White (Charles), Mary Locust and Rose Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
