He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Zachritz and Eloise Zachritz (Wirthwein); and his nephew John Christian Vandeveer. He is survived by: his wife Carin Zachritz (Coley); his sons, Todd Logan Zachritz (Cori) and Brian David Zachritz; his grandchildren, Alexandria, Adryana, Zoe and Lila; his sister Kathleen Vandeveer; his niece Marie Summers; and his pet Buddy.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sunset Hill Cemetery (232 S County Rd 25 W, Rockport, IN 47635).
