It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheri Simmons of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cheri Simmons to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Roll and Mary Roll (Schaeffer); her husband Douglas J. Simmons; and her siblings, Janice Johnson, Larry Roll, Jon Roll and Lyman Roll.
She is survived by: her sons, Brent Marklin (Donna) and Scott Marklin; her stepchildren, Douglas Simmons, Jr. (Stephanie), Stacee George (Daniel) and Sean Simmons (Kristy); her grandchildren, Kylie, Nikki, Nathan, Johnny, Rylie, Sawyer, Mackenzee, Benjamin, Matthew, John and Nicholas; and her siblings, Kathi, Jimmy and Kevin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society in her honor.
