He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Coomer (Stephens); his children, Dawn Velasquez (Paul), Tonya Shelton (Dennis), Amy Deford (Court) and David Scott (Debra); his grandchildren, Kayla Timmons, Hannah Scott, Maliyah Northam, Isabella Bush, Piper Deford, Teale Deford, Nicholas Shelton and Ren Deford; his great grandchildren, Rueben Timmons, Zemirah Scott and Thompson Northam; his siblings, Rose Johnson, Jane Henwood and Steve Coomer; and his nieces and nephews, Jami Hutton, Janet York, Deborah Dunn, Craig Johnson, Scott Henwood and Jesse Coomer.
