He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Cowan and Evalon Cowan (Littlepage); his daughter-in-law Anna Cowan; and his brother William "Billy" Cowan (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Trish" Cowan (Hayden); his sons, Jeff Cowan (Katie Coomes), Brad Cowan (Julie), Josh Cowan (Cassie) and Dan Cowan (Larissa Araujo); his siblings, Treva Pruden (Randy), Terry Cowan and Roland Cowan (Linda); and his grandchildren, Shaylin (Greg), Mary Clare, Gemma, Cecily, Karoline, Genevieve, Adley, Jonathan, Emma, Michael, Patrick, Samuel, George and Bento. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
