It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Walter Deer of Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Ruth and Walter Deer; his stepfather Wilfred Luigs; his siblings, Judith Beck and Jon M. Deer; and his sister-in-law Elaine Deer.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Deer (Rueger); his children, Dana Kepler (Terry) of Montgomery, Texas, David Deer (Lisa) of Renton, WA and Sara Ellsworth (Marcus) of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Ashmore (George), Tom Kepler (Kim), Arika CeFaratti, Dustin Deer (Karina), Megan Ellsworth (Hayden) and Sam Ellsworth (Erin).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Alexander West Chapel (2100 W Illinois St, Evansville, IN 47712). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the Tupman Cemetery (1601 N Red Bank Rd, Evansville, IN 47720).
