He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Kanady and Dolores Kanady (Newell); his wife Lyna May Kanady; and his sisters, Joyce Dillman and Nancy Berendsen.
He is survived by: his sister Pamela Miller; his brother-in-law John Berendsen; his children, Shannon Marie Knudsen (Erik) and Matthew David Kanady (Mandy); and his grandchildren, Austin David Kanady, Ursula Catarina Mota and Olivia Lynn Kanady. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
