He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Schweitzer and Audrey Schweitzer (Schmitt); his wife Dorethea Schweitzer; his daughter Mary Ann Miller (Ray); and his brother Terry Schweitzer.
He is survived by: his daughter Julia Baker (Jim); and his grandchildren, Denise Peden (Mindy), Lindy McCollom, Brooke Baker and Chad Baker (Maggie). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's and Dementia research reflecting Dennis's journey with the condition in his later years.
