He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Carlisle and Josie Carlisle; his wife Kathy; and his sister Betty Wetzel. He is survived by: his sons, Donald R. Carlisle and Jason P. Carlisle; his daughter-in-law Tara L. Carlisle; his grandchildren, Maia, Gage, Sabyn and Lilah Carlisle; and his sisters, Nancy Goode and Thetna Donohue. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Home-East (2115 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Alexander East Chapel (2115 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714).
