He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Smith and Lucille Smith; his wife Brenda Sue Smith (Bradley); and his brothers, Robert and Freddie Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan D. Smith (Ronald A. Hutcheson) of Indianapolis; and his sister-in-law Bettye Harrelson (Ernest) of Evansville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
