He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Berning and Lois Berning (Woolems); and his sister Carol Bannister. He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Gutzwiller (Joey), Tamny Costello (Shannon) and Tina Logsdon (Greg); his grandchildren, Caleb Wagner (Rachel), Ashtin Berning, Sunnie Berning, Alexander Griffin, Mattie Griffin, Boden Costello and Tegan Costello; and his great grandchild Peyton Wagner.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Browning Funeral Home (738 E Diamond Ave, Evansville, IN 47711). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
