He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sperling and Lena Sperling (Litzau). He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Sperling (Bassett); and his sons, Edmond "Johnny" Sperling II (Randa) and George W. "Bill" Sperling (Deana). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
