He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Mellor and Lois R. Mellor (Betz); his son Kenneth Ray Dearing; his former wife Alma; his wife Shirley Wallace; and his siblings, Malcolm and Shirley.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, John Sims, Jamie L. Redman, Cheryl Sims and Sherry Sims; his grandchildren, Bradleigh Carlson, Eddyson Bunner (Taylor), Brayton Whyatt, Carlton Redman, Gage Sims, Courtney Breeze of Ainsleigh Lynn, K. J and Greene; his nieces, Marilyn Mahoney, Carolyn Bettac, Kathryn Linder, Betsy Harris, Wanda Kennedy and Janette Collins; and his nephew Daniel Price.
