He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C. Gilmore and Mildred L. Gilmore (Fithian); his son Charles Andry Gilmore; and his brother Charles Daniel Gilmore. He is survived by: his wife Diana Kay Gilmore (Andry); his children, Jill Marie Pritchett (Chuck Pedersen), John David Gilmore (Karen) and Andrew Lee Gilmore (Katie); his brother James David Gilmore; and his grandchildren, Garett, Olivia, Jake, Alex, Noah, Ian, Evan, Colin and Emily.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (552 County Rd 1150 N, Griffin, IN 47616). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 413 Granary St, New Harmony, IN 47631.
