He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Rinehart and Emily Rinehart (Holder); his wife Ruth Ann Rinehart (Girton); his son David Rinehart; his granddaughter Sophie Rinehart; and his brother Richard Rinehart.

He is survived by: his children, Shawn Rinehart (Hannah) and Sara Rinehart McAtee (Chad); his grandchildren, Tatem, Jonas, Scarlett, Josie, Rylie, Ellison, Ayden and Adler; his great grandchildren, Claire and Lana; his sister Kathy Hansen (Lonnie); his siblings-in-law, David Girton (Marion) and Jan McCollum; and his nieces and nephews, Chris, Katie, Kristen, Jenny, David, Megan and Haley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Christian Church.
