With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Glenn Shane of Evansville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Shane and Betty Shane (Rheinlander); and his siblings, Diane Willis, Sally Jane Shane and Michael Shane.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Shane (Mathis); his children, Glenn Shane (Michelle), Bridget Pfaffmann (James), Kyle Shane (Stephanie), Rebekah Nisley (Adam) and Victoria Ruder (Bryan); his grandchildren, Ashlynn Shane, Abigayle Shane, Catherine Shane, Glenn Shane, Drew Pfaffmann, Dylan Pfaffmann, Dawson Rose Pfaffmann, Delilah Pfaffmann, Kayla Shane, Isaiah Nisley, Eliana Nisley, Aleilah Nisley, Thomas Nisley, Silas Nisley, Marie Nisley, Lionel Ruder, Astoria Ruder, Odella Ruder and Rosalina Ruder; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by five children and spouses, nineteen grandchildren.
