He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert VanWinkle and Mary Florence VanWinkle (Pendleton); and his sister Nancy Reiter (VanWinkle). He is survived by: his wife Mindy VanWinkle; his sons, Jake VanWinkle (Stephanie) and Dane VanWinkle (Sally); his grandchildren, Reagan, Shepard, Calvin and Silas; his stepchildren, Tyler and Whitney Letterman; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" VanWinkle (Alva), Mark VanWinkle (Terry), David VanWinkle (Cindy), Donna Harper and Cindy Wolf-Wall.
