He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mitchell and Juanita Rhodes; his wife Willia L. Mitchell; and his brothers, Marvin Mitchell and Charles Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, LaVon Mitchell, Stacia Mitchell and Harold Mitchell, Jr.; his sisters, Linda Pendleton, Brenda Outlaw and Sondra Boyd; and his grandchildren, Corbin, Danielle, Christian, Cole, Carley, Caylee, Cameron, Corryn, Brianna and Caliyah. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel (626 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1400 E Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711).
